Student Life in Jerusalem
Acts 1:8 is more than a classroom experience. For ten weeks, students study Scripture, explore the land of the Bible, and live together in Christian community.
The Land Becomes the Classroom
Biblical tours are a central part of the Acts 1:8 experience. Students regularly travel throughout Jerusalem and Israel, connecting what they study in Scripture with the places where biblical events occurred.
- Jerusalem’s Old City
- Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane
- City of David
- Sea of Galilee and Capernaum
- Jordan River and Nazareth
- Judean Wilderness, the Dead Sea, and Masada
- Caesarea and Shiloh
- Archaeological sites and museums
These are not simply sightseeing trips. Each tour is designed to help students understand Scripture more clearly by studying the Bible in its geographical, historical, and cultural setting.
Living in the Old City
Students share housing in Jerusalem’s Christian Quarter. Living together in the Old City makes ordinary daily life part of the experience, not only the classes and tours.
The program is intentionally kept small so there is room for genuine relationships, personal discipleship, and meaningful community.

Some days center on classroom teaching. Other days take students to biblical locations throughout the land.
Living Together
Living together means sharing space, adjusting to one another, helping where needed, and giving each other grace. Students should come ready to take part in daily life, serve one another, and care for the home they share.
The goal is not just to stay in the same house. It is to pray together, laugh together, work through differences, and become like family during the semester.
Food and Personal Expenses
Food and personal expenses are not included in the program fee. Students should plan to have approximately $800 available for food during the semester, in addition to personal spending money.
Come Ready to Grow
Acts 1:8 is designed for young adults who want to take Scripture seriously and spend a season growing in faith, community, and direction.
Spring 2027 runs from February 25 through May 10, 2027.
