Spring 26
The extensive immersion in the things of God (His Word, fellowship with believers, worship, service, etc.) deeply rooted a greater admiration for Jesus in my heart. The impact of the semester on me was this: I have come to know that God is just as faithful, loving, present, guiding, and Wonderful in each of His children’s lives no matter the circumstance of life they are in. It doesn’t matter if one believer goes to see the sites of Scripture’s events and to touch the stones of Jesus’ day, or if they remain at their local community living each day for God’s glory and will; God plans to cultivate an authentic, deep relationship with all of His children so that we may know how Great He truly is.

Spring 26
My time in Jerusalem gave me more than a greater knowledge of our Messiah, it equipped me with a living example of his goodness and mercy. Everyone who steps through the doors of our little home in the old city is there because they want to seek the lord diligently and know him intimately. How beautiful it is when His children are gathered together and His pearls are set on display. Weather you need a place to start your next journey, or a home rest for the next season of ministry, CCBC Jerusalem is the place to go. Matt and Elizabeth are amazing steward of this blessing.

Spring 26
The opportunity to just sit at Jesus’ feet by going through His life step-by-step in the gospels, in the very places where it took place is reason enough on its own to come. But the most special part of this experience is the people. With Matt and Elizabeth, you have a Pastor and a spiritual Mom who are gonna disciple you in such wisdom, love and faithfulness to God’s word, that it wouldn’t matter if you were in Jerusalem or anywhere else in the world. Two months with them is priceless for growth in Jesus, it definitely was for me. And the fellowship you get to have with the brothers and sisters God brings along with you will give you new family for life (and eternity!) So you should go! Pray about it… but GO!

Changed my Life
This place (ccbc Jerusalem) completely changed my life. If you ever dreamed of seeing the Holy Land, this is the absolute best way to experience it. Studying the scriptures while visiting the places you’re reading about and living among the people is unlike anything I could ever explain.

Best three months of my life
My semester in Jerusalem was the best three months of my life! I will never forget the friends I made, the experiences we had together, and the ways we grew in the Lord. Living in the old city of Jerusalem is a once in a lifetime opportunity and you really don’t know how incredible it is, until you actually do it! I would go back and do it all again in a heartbeat. I give all glory to God for blessing me with such a wonderful season of life, and I thank the Lord for Matt and Elizabeth and all the hard work, discipleship, teaching, and praying that they do for the students.

Experience of a Lifetime
There is nothing more life changing than a 3 month study tour in the Holy Land. This is an experience of a lifetime, one that you don’t want to miss! I had the privilege of going in the fall of 2019 along with a wonderful group of people. Within a few weeks, every fellow student became a close friend, and after about a month, we felt like family. We literally did everything together, exploring the old streets of Jerusalem, getting brownies from Jack’s dessert shop, running to the top of the Mount of Olives to watch the sunset, piling into a bus to visit the Sea of Galilee and the ruins of Masada, snorkeling in the Red Sea, floating in the Dead Sea. The classes were intimate and personal, the sites we visited were literally straight from scripture, and the culture we stepped into was absolutely fascinating. Matt and Elizabeth (the directors of CCBC Jerusalem) are two of the most loving, humble, and hospitable people you will ever meet. God did a mighty work in my life during my time in Israel, and I’m looking forward to the day when I’ll get to return there.

Eye Opening
CCBC Jerusalem was an eye opening experience for me in several ways. Of course, the location itself was incredible, being within the walls of the Old City. The simple task of walking to get fresh pita bread for breakfast meant daily engaging with the culture, even getting to know some of the vendors after a while. The tour took us to locations of events in the Bible, giving me a biblical map. I could picture Jesus and the disciples walking through the Kidron Valley up to the ascent of the Mount of Olives because I had walked that path myself.
While the locations are unforgettable, what affected me the most was the teaching. The first night, the campus director spoke about what a true Christian looks like. Where I come from, being a Christian was just a part of the culture. That night I remember thinking to myself, “This is what I’ve been needing to hear.” The visiting teachers also took the Bible very seriously. I really appreciated the way they handled the word of God with the mature reverence of experienced followers of Christ.
The Lord used CCBC Jerusalem to give me a much needed push to be more intentional and focused in my faith. And obviously, it is in Jerusalem, which is awesome in itself. Highly recommended.
